About
Born as a bastard daughter between a minor noble and one of his maids in Ishgard, Sofia had grown up dreaming of earning a better life for herself and her mother.
Though she trained as a house knight in hopes of turning it into a career, an encounter with a dragon saw her waking up in Gridania, being taken care of by the Conjurer's guild. Seeing it as a chance to see the wider world, she decided to have a small adventure through Eorzea before returning home.
One thing led to another and after a particularly ruinous trip to the Golden Saucer, Sofia found herself in debt and stuck in Ul'dah.
Five years later, she made Captain in the Immortal Flames' Free Brigade and a new place to call home.
After some convincing from her friends, she mustered the courage to go home and look for her mother. The two of them stay with her Free Company at Shirogane.
Sed feugiat
Sofia had shown a talent for swords from a young age and has honed that skill as she adventured through Eorzea. A chance encounter with an old Samurai in Mor Dhona led to him taking her under his wing and teaching her the basics of Ki manipulation. Sofia combines that with Ishgardian longsword techniques in a rather messy form of swordsmanship.
Her fascination with Garlean armour and airships motivated her to take on an apprenticeship with the Skysteel Manufactory, for a time. She learned enough to keep machinery running, so long as she has blueprints and manuals.
